Frequently asked questions

Useful answers before requesting a quotation.

Can you make a casting from an existing sample?

A sample can be reviewed for pattern development and machining requirements, subject to material identification and dimensional suitability.

Do you machine cast iron and bronze?

Yes. We machine selected ferrous and non-ferrous cast components within workshop capacity.

Can all cracked castings be repaired?

No. Repair depends on material, crack location, loading, contamination and service risk; replacement may be safer.

Do you provide material testing?

Required chemical, mechanical or NDT testing can be specified and coordinated as part of the approved scope.
